Meet the Team!
Joni Kletter joins the firm as Senior Counsel, bringing 20 years of legal experience as a litigator and as the former Commissioner/Chief Administrative Law Judge for the City of New York. Randi shares that “she is thrilled to be joining forces with Joni after having worked closely together early in their careers. Joni is a fierce advocate for her clients and a savvy, strategic counselor. Our clients will benefit tremendously from her expertise.” Joni’s practice focuses on employment and contract litigation, contract negotiations, alternative dispute resolution and government law and compliance. In addition to her role at KalCo, Joni will continue to serve as an executive and strategic consultant leveraging her vast experience in public service.
Marla Tepper joins the firm as Senior Counsel bringing over 40 years of experience as a litigator and in-house counsel to Kalmanson Cohen’s representation of individual, corporate, and nonprofit clients. Previously General Counsel to two large New York City nonprofits, Deputy Commissioner and General Counsel to the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, Assistant U.S. Attorney and NYS Assistant Attorney General (specializing in civil rights and consumer protection), and Legal Aid criminal appeals attorney, Marla is a problem-solver and strategist, with a keen eye for the intersection of law and operations. “I’m thrilled to join Randi and Kim in helping our clients achieve compliance, make smart choices, navigate thorny matters, or vindicate their rights in court.”  
Elizabeth Jackson joins the Firm as Counsel, bringing with her significant experience representing unions and employees in complex administrative matters and litigation. Prior to working at Kalmanson Cohen, Elizabeth was counsel for one of the largest teachers’ unions in the country. Elizabeth has also worked as a law clerk at several prominent labor and employment firms. Elizabeth is passionate about employee rights within the workplace and is excited to bring her unique experience to the firm.
